Since its inception, the Association of Property Professionals (APP) – Delhi NCR has been driven by a singular purpose — to elevate the voice and value of real estate professionals in the region. With every year, every event, and every initiative, APP has grown as a credible force shaping the future of real estate brokerage in India.

November 2008

Formation of APP Delhi‑NCR: The Association of Property Professionals, Delhi NCR (APP) was established as a non-profit society and officially registered under the Societies Registration Act in November 2008 It became the Delhi-NCR chapter of the National Association of Realtors – India (NAR-India), uniting local real estate brokers under a common code of ethics and professional standards.

2010

Early Initiatives and National Engagement: By 2010, APP Delhi-NCR had aligned with NAR-India’s mission to “elevate the standards of practice of the real estate brokerage business” through ethics and education. The association adopted a Realtors’ Code of Ethics and began hosting training workshops to professionalize its members. In the same year, APP members took part in NAR-India’s 2nd Annual Convention (held in Chennai in 2010), ensuring Delhi-NCR’s realtors had a voice on the national stage. These early initiatives cemented APP’s reputation for promoting ethical conduct, industry knowledge-sharing, and collaboration across India.

July 2013

Delhi Hosts 5th NAR-India Convention: APP Delhi-NCR co-hosted NAR-India’s 5th Annual Convention, the country’s largest realty meet, on 6–7 July 2013 at New Delhi’s Taj Palace Hotel Over 1,200 real estate professionals from across India attended The convention featured panel discussions on emerging issues – notably the proposed Real Estate Regulation & Development Bill (which later became RERA) – and on greater inclusion of women in real estate brokerage. This milestone event provided a unique platform for networking, knowledge-sharing, and policy advocacy, reflecting APP’s growing influence in shaping industry reforms.

August 2016

Hosting the 8th NAR-India Convention: APP Delhi-NCR achieved a major landmark by hosting NAR-India’s 8th Annual Convention on 13–14 August 2016 in New Delhi Branded “Today Towards Tomorrow,” the two-day convention at Hotel Pullman Aerocity drew an international audience – over 100 global delegates and 900+ Indian delegates – making it one of India’s largest realty events The convention offered rich programming of educational sessions and panel discussions on topics like smart cities and sustainability. It also marked strong collaboration with developers: Delhi’s leading developer DLF Limited partnered as Title Sponsor and industry CEOs (from Supertech, ATS, Godrej Properties, etc.) joined as speakers “Since its inception, the convention has acted as a platform to gather all the experts, leaders, best realtors, builders, architects, lawyers and other stakeholders under one roof,” noted APP President Tarun Bhatia. This successful 2016 summit reinforced APP’s role as a credible voice of realtors, connecting and educating the brokerage community at a national level.

March 2021

Adapting with a Hybrid Convention: Amid the COVID-19 era, APP Delhi-NCR again hosted the 12th NAR-India Annual Convention on 21–22 March 2021 Uniquely, this convention was held in a hybrid format – with an in-person venue at Andaz Delhi Aerocity complemented by virtual attendance options “For the first time in our history, we have added a virtual component to the NAR-INDIA Annual Convention,” said Kshitij Nagpal, then APP Delhi-NCR President. The hybrid approach – a response to pandemic restrictions – enabled broader participation and set a precedent for future events. Despite challenges, the 2021 convention was well-attended and continued APP’s tradition of innovation in networking, featuring online outreach that extended the event’s reach beyond Delhi.

2024

Expanding Collaboration and Global Reach: In recent years, APP Delhi-NCR has broadened its strategic partnerships and prepared for new opportunities. In 2024, the association entered into an international partnership with the Miami Association of Realtors, reflecting its growing global footprint APP also continued to collaborate with prominent developers and institutions on educational programs and property expos (for example, partnering with firms like Silverglades to connect brokers with new projects). Notably, APP was selected to host NAR-India’s next annual summit, “NARVIGATE 2025”, scheduled for March 2025 in New Delhi This upcoming event – themed as a forward-looking realty summit – underscores the national trust placed in APP’s leadership. By 2024, APP Delhi-NCR is recognized for its launch of training initiatives, advocacy for fair brokerage (working with government on RERA implementation), and a legacy of industry awards and recognition through NAR-India. The association’s journey since 2008 illustrates a sustained commitment to connecting, educating, and elevating real estate professionals in the Delhi NCR region and beyond.
